I had Mysteries Of The Unexplained as a kid in the mid-eighties and absolutely devoured it. It was misplaced a few years ago, but I must have read it and re-read it many times. I remember some of the language being quite advanced for my young age(particuarly on the explanations (such as the one on synchronicity)). I think my favourite story was "The Perfect Day" about a man from many years ago who through coincidence and chance had everything go right for him on one day in his life. However, my lasting memory from it is that (sadly) most of the stories have since been debunked, such as the fake "Surgeon Photo" of The Loch Ness Monster. Still; it was a pre-Web form of conspiracy and nonsense packaged up in a believable book. I loved it but it just didn't stand the test of time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
