Last Music Show

A sad occasion, sort of, as this was my last music show on Z Talk Radio. At the end of this month, Z Talk will no longer have a license to play signed artist's music, so I decided to do a three hour long musical cavalcade to go out with a bang. I went with a mix of excellent tunes from the 60s on up to the 00s and my son, Hayden, once again sat in to help old Dad with the show.

Music Show

A second music show in one month?!  One week after another music, as well?!  What gives, Dim?

Well, on Friday (1/17) I had a wisdom tooth removed, so rather than doing my regular award-winning show (that may be a slight exaggeration - a lie even) I opted to do a music show.  Less talking that way.  And my son, Hayden, co-hosted the show with me to help minimized the amount of talking I would do.  That said, I still ended up talking a lot.

So, we returned to the popular theme of playing all 70s music.

It's back!  The Dimland Radio Music Show Thing is back.

I nearly didn't do a music show this night. I had planned to, I had a list of songs ready to go, but the regular host of Paradigm Shift (which will be returning to Z Talk soon) had planned on playing music this night. Friday Night Music Show Special

Another Friday night music show packed with not country music (I did that the last two Fridays). This time I played a more Indie, Punk, New Wave, etc. mix of music, however I did sprinkle in several songs by bands that have had at least one member work at the shirt printing shop that I worked at about 5 years ago. The shop was called Cold Side Silkscreening. I will note each Cold Side band with a CS, just so you know.

Dimland Radio Music Show Hour Radio Show Music Thing

Another two hour music show, but first I talked a little bit about the concert I went to earlier that night. A friend of mine and I went to First Avenue, the famous Minneapolis nightclub, to see Gang Of Four. Very good show. I did a fair amount of jumping around, I hadn't expected to but the music got to me. My knees and back are reminding me that I'm not in my 20s anymore.

Be that as it may, I played a set of love songs in honor of Darwin Day, Lincoln's birthday and my mom's birthday (which happens to be on Valentine's Day).
