who's gouging?

Ever notice that Democrats (ok, some RINOs do it too) all scream bloody murder when gas prices go up due to supply and demand, but as demand and prices go down they start talking about raising the gas tax?
Did you know that the average profit made by the big, bad, evil oil corporations on a gallon of gas is about 7 cents? Did you know that the average taxes collected by the Federal government on a gallon of gas is about 20 cents? And in Minnesota, where I reside, the tax for the state is about another 20 cents?
So, who's gouging?

  1. I think that instead of being angey from your govvernment that for Oil price, you should be angry for its crimes in Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon(Smart missiles, "It's not the time to stop the war", and in Somalia...etc). Right?!!

I don't hate you, but I hate your government from all my heart for those innocents being killed daily around the world.

  3. I don't hate you either, Mohamed. I can't say I see the world the way you do. I don't see attempts to liberate oppressed people as a crime. My government (which is far from perfect) has done everything it can to minimize the killing of innocents.

I know that's not how you see it. I want to say more, but I think it it will be futile.

Let us both hope fervantly for peace.

  4. Y'know, Jim... I think that rather than be angry with your government for oil price gouging, you should be thankful that our country has the freedom and liberty to allow a moron like Mohamed to speak his mind without being thrown into prison, tortured or executed.

Mohomed, if you live in the United States, I CERTAINLY hope and trust that you are thankful to Allah for the freedoms you are priviledged to experience here. I certainly hpe and trust that you are thankful that Iraq has been liberated from Islamic extremists like Al Quida. Be thankful and praise Allah that he has used the united States as a finger of "His Righteousness" to purge Iraq and allow freedom and democracy to begin to take a foothold in Iraq.

Allah is a lover of peace and righteousness, not totalitarianism and dictatorial rule. Allah is no subjugator of women nor supressor of the rights of human beings.

Thanks Allah that you can speak your mind freely in a country that respects your personal liberty.

Should the war in Iraq have been started? Only history will judge in the long run. Has there been good that has been accomplished for the people of Iraq? Absolutely YES. Has the United States made mistakes? Sure it has, but look at the greater good, observe the freedom that has been established, and PRAISE ALLAH for his omniscience, predestination and providential rule over the affairs of mankind in allowing the United States to become a great liberator for of the free peoples of Iraq.

Now stow your extremism and myopic short-sightedness, and be at peace.
